Meet Dr. Nathan J. Flesher

When he saw how his friends’ parents were changing lives as dentists, Dr. Nathan knew right away he had discovered his calling. A “plan B” wasn’t part of his vocabulary.

Education

A Uniontown, PA native, Dr. Nathan first earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry before achieving his DMD degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2014. He followed God’s calling, which guided him to the Christian Medical and Dental Association placement program. One of his most significant accomplishments was commissioning as an officer in the Army National Guard Dental Corps. He joined in 2013, just before starting his dental studies, when he discovered a scholarship opportunity. He remains involved, using his skills and knowledge to promote and restore the dental health of the nation’s honorable service members. A staunch supporter of these brave soldiers, Dr. Nathan takes great pride in helping them care for their oral health. Whenever he spots a solider who hasn’t yet realized the importance of a healthy smile, he will spend a few extra moments with them – a truly life-changing interaction.

Outside the office

When he’s not helping patients achieve the smile of their dreams, Dr. Nathan loves spending time with his beautiful wife, Becca. They were high school sweethearts and married at the age of 20. Becca is passionate about helping others as a registered nurse. Together, they have a young son, Gavin James, and French bulldog, Hank. Dr. Nathan stays physically active by exercising and exploring the outdoors. Other pastimes include traveling, shooting, sporting clays (clay pigeon shooting), reading, and sharing his knowledge with others. Since helping other people is integral to his life’s mission, Dr. Nathan also helps out at his church and volunteers for Beautiful Feet Ministries. Each month, he provides free dentistry for the homeless and less fortunate. He’s an active member of several dental organizations and … he’s a self-confessed nerd who loves technology.

Hannah Bing, Team Lead

Hannah spends her days counseling patients on their treatment options so they can receive ideal care. She also supports her fellow team members by encouraging and supporting them to fulfill the practice’s mission statement.

Wendie Curry, Registered Dental Assistant

Wendie is always eager to answer patients’ questions and provide valuable information so they can feel ready to proceed with treatment. She takes the time to get know everyone and make a positive difference in their lives. Her studies included general full mouth restorative dentistry and implant surgery.

She feels blessed to be part of Dr. Nathan’s team. She first joined in a temporary role, but learned – right after her first morning huddle! – that she had found the office she had been praying for.

Wendie is mom to Tad and Baylie as well as two Australian shepherds, Harley and Ivy. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, shopping in Canton, TX, and playing softball. Traveling is on her bucket list.

Lauren Holloway, Registered Dental Assistant

Our newest team member, Lauren joined us in late 2018. She loves helping patients and is always focused on being the best RDA she can be so that you know that everything is being done to help you achieve optimum oral health. One of the reasons she chose to join our practice is that we have a progressive educational mindset, so that our team members can grow their skills. And because we’re happy and friendly!

When not in the practice, Lauren loves to be with family and friends. She’s married to Mason and they have a rebel in their household … Rebel the dog, that is!

Don’t Hide Your Smile

Dental implants can restore confidence

Anyone who has ever suffered from tooth loss can tell you about the embarrassment of constantly hiding their smile and about the social awkwardness that accompanies difficulty in speaking and chewing. Dental implants could be the answer. A dental implant is an artificial root to which an artificial tooth is attached. An implant can replace one or more teeth or permanently support a bridge or denture.

Here are some of the proven benefits of dental implants.

  • Improved Appearance – Dental implants look and feel just like your own teeth, so no one will know you have one (or more!) unless you tell them.

  • Improved Self-Confidence – An attractive natural-looking appearance, plus the ability to speak and eat normally and comfortably, will have you smiling again!

  • Improved Oral Health – Dental implants actually preserve bone tissue and the procedure is considered non-invasive because it does not affect the surrounding teeth.

  • Reliability – Dental implants have had a proven track record for more than 35 years and are an excellent option for tooth replacement.

If you are in good general and oral health, you may be an excellent candidate for dental implants, no matter your age!
